2024 Mustang Mach-E vs. Tesla Model Y: Why the Mustang Mach-E is the Better Choice.

Choosing the right electric vehicle is crucial, and the 2024 Mustang Mach-E stands out as the superior option when compared to the Tesla Model Y. Here’s a detailed comparison to illustrate why the Mustang Mach-E should be your EV of choice. more Performance and Handling Acceleration: Mustang Mach-E: Instant torque and powerful acceleration with its dual-motor setup, delivering a thrilling 0-60 mph time in just around 3.5 seconds (GT Performance Edition). Tesla Model Y: Quick acceleration, but the Model Y Performance variant reaches 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds as well. However, the Mustang Mach-E's driving experience feels more connected and visceral. Handling: Mustang Mach-E: Superior handling with a low center of gravity and well-tuned suspension, offering a more engaging and responsive drive. Tesla Model Y: Good handling, but its higher center of gravity can result in a less agile feel compared to the Mustang Mach-E. Design and Comfort Exterior Design: Mustang Mach-E: Striking design that combines the classic Mustang heritage with modern, sleek lines, making a bold statement on the road. Tesla Model Y: Minimalist and functional design, but it lacks the distinctive styling and heritage appeal of the Mustang Mach-E. Interior Quality: Mustang Mach-E: Premium materials and a spacious, luxurious cabin with advanced ambient lighting and a panoramic fixed-glass roof. Tesla Model Y: Minimalistic interior with a focus on simplicity, which can feel less upscale compared to the Mach-E’s more refined interior. Technology and Features Infotainment System: Mustang Mach-E: SYNC 4A with a 15.5-inch touchscreen, offering an intuitive interface, customizable displays, and seamless smartphone integration. Tesla Model Y: 15-inch touchscreen with a minimalist interface, but the Mustang Mach-E’s system is often considered more user-friendly and versatile. Driver-Assistance Features: Mustang Mach-E: Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology with advanced safety features such as BlueCruise hands-free driving, Active Park Assist 2.0, and Evasive Steering Assist. Tesla Model Y: Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, but BlueCruise offers comparable hands-free driving with enhanced safety features. Charging and Convenience Charging Network: Mustang Mach-E: Access to Ford's growing network of charging stations, including partnerships with major networks for extensive coverage. Tesla Model Y: Tesla’s Supercharger network is extensive, but Ford’s network is rapidly expanding and becoming highly competitive. Charging Speed: Mustang Mach-E: Supports fast charging, adding up to 61 miles of range in just 10 minutes at DC fast-charging stations. Tesla Model Y: Similar fast-charging capabilities, but the difference lies in the growing accessibility of Ford’s charging network. Environmental Impact and Ownership Costs Sustainable Practices: Mustang Mach-E: Produced in facilities aiming for zero waste to landfill, with a commitment to using renewable energy sources. Tesla Model Y: Tesla is known for its sustainability efforts, but Ford’s transparent and robust sustainability practices give it an edge. Cost of Ownership: Mustang Mach-E: Competitive pricing and lower maintenance costs, making it an affordable and attractive option. Tesla Model Y: Higher initial cost and potentially higher maintenance costs, making the Mustang Mach-E a more economical choice. Conclusion The 2024 Mustang Mach-E not only matches but often surpasses the Tesla Model Y in several critical areas. With its superior handling, luxurious interior, advanced technology, and competitive pricing, the Mustang Mach-E is the clear winner for those seeking an exceptional electric vehicle experience. Jeep Wrangler: Also offers a variety of accessories but with fewer factory-backed options. Why Bronco Wins: More customization options allow Bronco owners to tailor their vehicle to their specific needs. DIY Modifications Ford Bronco: Designed with modular components for easy DIY modifications. Jeep Wrangler: Supports modifications but not as seamlessly as the Bronco. Why Bronco Wins: The Bronco’s modular design makes it easier for enthusiasts to personalize their vehicle. Value and Ownership Experience Pricing Ford Bronco: Competitively priced with more features included. Jeep Wrangler: Often requires additional packages for comparable features. Why Bronco Wins: Better value for money with more standard features. Resale Value Ford Bronco: Known for strong resale value. Jeep Wrangler: Also holds value well but not as robustly as the Bronco. Why Bronco Wins: Higher resale value makes the Bronco a smarter long-term investment. Conclusion In the ultimate off-road showdown, the 2024 Ford Bronco clearly outperforms the 2024 Jeep Wrangler in several critical areas. With superior performance, modern design, advanced technology, and greater value, the Bronco is the ideal choice for those who seek adventure and comfort. What Makes the EcoBoost Engine of the 2018 Ford Escape So Powerful

Like many other companies, Ford is looking for ways to improve performance while protecting the environment. One of the ways that it does this is with the EcoBoost engine. The EcoBoost is more fuel-efficient and produces fewer emissions while also being more powerful than other engine options. This leaves many drivers confused as to how it works,  since eco-friendly options are generally thought to be less powerful than their counterparts. Here is a look at what makes the EcoBoost engine of the 2018 Ford Escape so powerful. Turbocharging One of the most common ways of boosting engine performance is through turbocharging, which involves using different methods to increase air intake. Increasing the airflow rate allows for faster, stronger, and all-around better combustion. The EcoBoost engine harnesses the power of the exhaust system to turbocharge its air intake. The exhaust cannot be fed back into the engine, but it is used to spin a turbine that compresses air and feeds it into the engine quickly. By doing so the engine gets a higher airflow rate and creates a burst of extra energy. more Direct Injection Gas engines mix air with fuel. This mix is often done before it reaches the combustion chamber located above the piston. While proven and widely used, this method can also waste fuel. Instead, the EcoBoost engine mixes air and fuel in the combustion chamber by spraying the fuel directly into the chamber. It uses a special nozzle to turn the fuel into a fine mist, which makes it combust easily and doesn't let the fuel be wasted in other places. Twin-Independent Variable Cam Timing Another method that the EcoBoost engine uses is twin-independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT). Inside the engine, there is a series of valves that allow different processes to happen. When timed properly, these valves can maximize the power output in different ways. The EcoBoost engine takes advantage of this by analyzing what the Escape is doing and how much power it needs. Then, it adjusts the timing of all of the valves to either provide more power or to conserve fuel. Improved All-Around Efficiency Ultimately, the EcoBoost engine is more powerful than other models because of its improved all-around efficiency. With various systems in place to maximize efficiency, it is better at conserving power and fuel for when it is needed. On top of that, it produces fewer emissions since more of the fuel is conserved and no power output is wasted. As EcoBoost engines become more efficient, they will also become more powerful. Ford will continue to develop the EcoBoost engine for the Ford Escape, as well as many of its other vehicle lines. It has proven to be the best option for vehicles that don't require extremely high-output levels like trucks or diesel vehicles. It is likely that you will see the EcoBoost engine in future Ford models depending on what their needs are. Regardless, the Ford Escape is a much better and more powerful vehicle thanks to its EcoBoost engine.   Image via Flickr by RL GNZLZ used under CC BY

4 Technologies that Will Make Driving the 2018 Ford EcoSport More Enjoyable

Ford's EcoSport provides a practical solution to everyday driving that is better for the environment while still providing an enjoyable driving experience. While most environmentally friendly cars can be less impressive in performance, the EcoSport can be fun to drive for a number of reasons. If you are looking for a way to help the environment and enjoy your daily commute, here are four technologies that will make driving the 2018 Ford EcoSport more enjoyable. Sport-Tuned Suspension A good sport-tuned suspension can make any car feel more like a race car. The key is in the suspension dampening, which allows the suspension to control how fast and extensively it responds to stimulus. A sport-tuned suspension also promotes better performance by giving you better control over the road in different situations. The Ford EcoSport comes with a sport-tuned suspension, which makes it feel smooth but in touch with the road as you drive. more Waze Waze is a popular navigation app that gives you better control over your commute. Waze is crowd-sourced, meaning that community members provide real-life traffic updates in the app. That way, you can always see what is going on down your route with a high degree of accuracy. Commuting to work and back each day through traffic can take the fun out of driving. Waze can help fix that by giving you up-to-date traffic reports and helping you find alternative ways of getting to where you want to go. A Waze integration comes with the available SYNC 3 AppLink. Alexa The Ford EcoSport is also compatible with Amazon's Alexa. Once you connect your smart device using the Ford+Alexa app, you can control Alexa much the same way you do at home. That means the voice commands that Alexa knows become available, making it easy for you to have a personal assistant anywhere. Alexa also can interact with your smart house Alexa components even if you are not home. Alexa's voice commands also help make driving much safer since you can voice activate most of the Ford EcoSport's features through Alexa. Swing Gate While it is not as flashy as the other options on this list, the new swing gate makes a substantial difference in how useful your Ford EcoSport is. Rather than lifting over your head, the tailgate of the Ford EcoSport swings to the side. Overhead tailgates can be difficult to use, but one that swings open is much easier to handle. By using the swing gate, loading and unloading the Ford EcoSport is much easier and more enjoyable. The Ford EcoSport can be an interesting way to enjoy driving while helping the environment thanks to the numerous technology components that make it easier to use. If you want to know more about it, you should stop by Power Ford to see it in person. A deeper look at the features as well as a test drive with a knowledgeable Ford expert can help you see why the Ford EcoSport is a great option for your driving needs. Meet the Little Engine That Could With the 2018 Ford EcoSport

In the field of subcompact SUVs, the 2018 Ford EcoSport reigns supreme. This mini SUV features a wide range of user-friendly tech to make your ride more comfortable. Learn more about this vehicle from Ford to see if it's the right fit for you. Integration With Modern Tech Do you use Waze to direct yourself during rush-hour traffic? If so, you'll love the fact that the Waze app is compatible with the Sync 3 AppLink entertainment system. This allows you to get the best-hidden routes to your destination, as well as get real-time traffic, road hazard, and accident alerts. Operate the app through the EcoSport's available 8-inch touch screen or use hands-free voice commands to eliminate distractions. The EcoSport also comes with a new Ford+Alexa app, which combines the power of the Sync 3 AppLink system with the convenience of Alexa to provide traffic information, voice navigation, Amazon Prime shopping, and more. If you'd like, you can even control your smart home devices from your car to turn the lights on before you return. more Other technology features that are helpful for the modern driver include fast-charging USB ports, a 110V outlet in the rear, and a complimentary six-month subscription to SiriusXM. For younger drivers, Ford MyKey technology allows parents to limit top speeds, decrease the max audio volume, and require the use of seat belts. Impressive Cargo Space Just because it's smaller than a standard SUV, doesn't mean the EcoSport lacks room for your cargo. With all the seats up, you have room for five passengers, but the ability to fold down the second-row seating in a 60/40 configuration allows you to customize your storage options. Additionally, the fold-flat seats maximize available space to fit even more groceries, suitcases, or sporting equipment. You can also take advantage of the EcoSport cargo management system, which includes an adjustable rear-load floor and shelf to make it easier to stack or tuck away fragile items. To access the cargo hold, you'll get to use the innovative swing gate, which opens to the side instead of lifting up. This prevents those awkward bumps on the head and is far more convenient for times when you've only got one free hand to open the door. Stunning Style Thanks to the impressive style of the 2018 EcoSport, you're sure to turn heads as you roll down the road. The exterior shines with LED signature lighting, halogen projector headlamps, and a power moonroof. When you choose the SES trim, you'll get additional exterior perks, such as 17-inch dark tarnish metallic wheels, roof rack side rails with crossbars, and black detailing with copper accents. Of course, the interior is just as spectacular. Select trims feature heated, leather-trimmed front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a push-button start. Paddle shifters make driving more comfortable, while the six-way power-adjustable driver's seat lets you find the perfect position. While the 2018 Ford EcoSport is small, it makes a big impression. How to Care for Your Car's Interior Like a Pro

While it's important to keep your car looking great on the outside, you should also make sure it's clean and well-kept on the inside. A properly-maintained interior not only provides a more comfortable riding experience, it can also improve your safety and health. However, cleaning your vehicle's cabin isn't so straightforward because it has surfaces of different materials and nooks and crannies that are hard to reach. Follow these tips to clean and maintain different parts of your car's interior. Seats, Floor Mats, and Crevices Vacuuming is arguably the single best way to keep your vehicle's interior clean and fresh. It can remove loose dirt, dust, debris, and crumbs from the seats, floor mats, floors, and nooks and crannies inside your car. If you want the best results, use a high-power vacuum cleaner with a hose and attachments that can clean out even the smallest crevices. If you don't have this type of vacuum cleaner, you can bring your car to a professional auto cleaning center. more Upholstery While a vacuum cleaner does a good job of getting rid of dirt and debris on car seats, it can't remove spills and grime that seep into fabric upholstery. So, you need to use upholstery cleaners instead. Such cleaners are specially formulated to thoroughly clean seats and carpets without promoting mold growth. If your vehicle has leather seats, removing stains, cracks, and rips can be difficult and expensive. You can protect your leather upholstery from dirt and damage and give it a nicer look by using a leather cleaner and conditioner. Dashboard The dashboard of your vehicle collects a fair amount of dirt and dust. You can clean it with either a vacuum cleaner or a microfiber dust cloth. After that, apply a protectant to help prevent peeling, cracking, and decoloration that results from damaging ultraviolet rays. Also, don't forget to clean and apply protectant to the steering wheel, as it's regarded as part of the dashboard. Windows The cleanliness and clarity of your vehicle's windows can have a significant impact on your visibility and safety. Therefore, it's very important to keep them clean. A water-repellent glass cleaner can easily remove smudges and fingerprints and bead away water that can leave streak marks. It's important to note that some glass cleaners aren't suitable for tinted windows or may cause damage to the heating elements on a windshield. Additionally, you should avoid using a household glass cleaner, because its ammonia content can break down the heating elements. Trunk Having a cluttered trunk not only makes your vehicle looks less aesthetically pleasing; it can also add weight to it and make it less fuel efficient. Keep only emergency supplies and items that are truly necessary in the trunk. Properly cleaning and maintaining the interior of your vehicle may require a substantial amount of time and effort. If you have a busy schedule, consider having your car cleaned professionally. Professional auto cleaners have the necessary expertise and equipment to make the inside and outside of your car look sparkling new. Image via Flickr by Jim's Photo World used under CC BY

2019 Ford Edge in Albuquerque, NM - Ford Dealer

3 Reasons You'll Love the 2019 Ford Edge SUV

Over the years, the Ford Edge has become one of the most sought-after midsize SUVs because of its well-roundedness and great value for the money. Despite being an SUV, it drives like a car and delivers impressive fuel economy. It also comes with a roomy and comfortable cabin and a long list of tech features to provide an enjoyable riding experience. This SUV seeks to maintain its competitive advantage in 2019 with a number of significant modifications and the addition of the ST model to its lineup. Check out these three features that will make you love the 2019 Ford Edge. more New ST Trim While the Ford Edge has always delivered satisfactory performance, it seemed to lack the necessary intensity to stand out from the crowd. For 2019, it'll get a much-needed dose of edginess in the form of the new ST model. The 2019 Ford Edge ST is equipped with the same 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that powers the 2017 Edge Sport. However, it increases the engine's power output to 335 horsepower from 315 horsepower in the Sport. Also, it produces a healthy 380 pound-feet of torque. The Edge's fuel economy rating has not yet been revealed, but the EcoBoost V6 achieves 17/24 miles per gallon (city/highway) in the Sport. In addition, the new Ford Edge ST offers more low-speed damping, stiffer springs, larger vented rear rotors, and an available performance package with better friction materials and front rotor venting. You can also opt for 21-inch five-spoke gloss-black wheels. The ST comes in an exclusive paint color called “Ford performance blue,” which extends to the lower bumper. Other styling details that set this trim apart from the regular Edge models include blacked-out hexagonal grilles, square dual exhaust tips, and the absence of the chrome strip at the rear. New Safety Features For 2019, the Ford Edge comes with a new post-collision braking system that prevents it from continuing to move following an initial crash. It also gets an evasive steering system that helps you apply an appropriate amount of steering to lower the chance of a collision, a first in a non-luxury vehicle. Additionally, there's an adaptive cruise control system with lane centering and stop-and-go functionality to keep the Edge in its lane and at the right speed, so that it won't hit the vehicle in front. Improved Feature Content The 2019 Ford Edge is fitted with a built-in modem with WiFi capability to create a hotspot that allows you connect up to 10 devices within a 50-foot range. With the FordPass Connect app, you can locate, unlock, and start your SUV remotely. The Edge's software also supports the Alexa Voice Service, enabling you to speak to the digital assistant from your vehicle. There's also a 12-speaker Harman audio system that's specially tuned for the Edge. With these improvements, the Ford Edge has become more appealing and versatile than ever. If you want to know if the latest Edge is the right option for you, feel free to arrange for a test drive. Image " NAIS 2019 Ford Edge ST " by F. D. Richards, used under CC BY-SA 2.0
